Edgy Studios was commissioned to create four concrete elements for First internet bank. It was for a rooftop area for employees to enjoy.
We fabricated this with expansion and contraction in mind. We made sure not to fuse the concrete and copper and instead made the separate copper hardware with room to expand and contract as it is exposed to outdoor elements.
The pieces for this one consisted of a live edge table with copper inserts, a copper banding table, and a water feature with floating shelves.
The project took approximately six weeks for all four pieces.
